The University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa is currently working with a private developer who is building a mixed-used affordable housing project that includes a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for as little as $212,500 each. Senator Stanley Chang is hopeful that this could be a blueprint for future public-private partnerships for affordable housing.
