With completion planned for March 2023, Hale O Pi'ikea will provide 90 affordable housing units to residents in Maui. This phase will feature 2 buildings that are 4 stories each. Plans include 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units ranging from 528 through 1,046 square feet. Additionally, 5 of the units will be specifically designed for tenets with impaired mobility, and 2 units will be reserved for individuals with hearing and vision impairment. To qualify, potential residents will need to make 60% or less of the AMI. Rental prices will vary based off of AMI but are expected to range from $420 through $1,293. Residents will have access to a computer lab, a community center building, and on-site laundry facilities. There will also be parking availability for both tenets and visitors. Units at Hale O Pi'ikea will incorporate several energy-efficient features, such as solar water heaters and ENERGY STAR appliances.
