Kaiaulu O Kūku'ia is larger planned development that will offer 200 affordable apartment homes on the island of Maui. The community will feature plantation-style architecture and will be divided into 3 neighborhoods. Apartments will be built in 8-plex structures with only 2 stories per building. Prospective residents will have the option of choosing among 100 2-bedroom, 75 3-bedroom, and 25 4-bedroom units. The community is anticipated to be energy efficient, with apartments that feature ENERGY STAR appliances, LED lighting, and solar water heating. Units will also include hard-surface flooring, Water Wise plumbing fixtures, and solar water heating. Community amenities will be family friendly, with 2 community centers featuring technology centers, game rooms, and kitchens.
