Villages of La 'i` ' Ōpua is a project set to provide native Hawaiians with affordable housing. Phase 4 of the project will include 60 units and future phases are expected to host an additional 103 affordable units. Homes will be available for rent-to-own, with 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom options. Current plans show total living space varying from 960 square feet through 1,543 square feet, and each home comes with a private lanai and a car port. Tenants may choose to purchase their homes after 15 years. Rent payments are anticipated to be as low as $530 per month, and residents will have access to resources such as home buying programs and health and wellness initiatives.
